I love Sea World! I chaperoned our 5th grade choir trip there yesterday. I am so exhausted, but I wish I could live there. I wasn't very enthusiastic about going beforehand, but I sure am glad I decided to go.
The animals are amazing. We didn't go look at the dolphins until the end of the day, so we weren't able to touch them or feed them (they were full and not interested in people). But look at how close I got!

While we were visiting the penguin exhibit, the trainers came out with Penny and she walked around, showing off for us all, so cute!

I also loved seeing a male penguin with an egg on its feet. If you look closely, his feet are pointed up to help keep the egg on and warm.

I had 4 girls in my group. Being the nice teacher I am, I held onto the girls' things while they rode the roller coasters. I couldn't believe that they all wanted to go on this one, called the Steel Eel.

Somehow in the midst of handing bags back and forth, I lost a girl's penguin, so I just bought a replacement for her online. I did say I was a nice teacher, didn't I?!
The best part, of course, was seeing Shamu. We were sitting at the end of the theater near the gate where they let the whales in and out. The whales kept making noises and bumping the gate, wanting to get in and perform. I was sitting in the splash zone during the show, and luckily was able to cover my camera in time. Amazingly, my camera was the only thing I had that was not drenched!
